The interview with Joe Kennedy is one of the fascinating interviews I read and learned from. I think his complete interview session resonated in many cognizance and the minds of future leaders. Even I believed the questions themselves, were meaningful in the face of the answers. A question like ‘what learning lessons did you take from prior working experiences and how did they help you?’ Is an unprecedented question. Some of the interview questions and responses give bigger pictures of his roles.
Maxwell (2007), on his famous book (i.e. People Do what People See) meant by “a man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them, and strong enough to correct them” (P.32). This is equally true as Joe Kennedy also responded to vital questions and that the responsibility of a quality leader is to admit his mistakes, learn from them, and make adjustments to a better tomorrow. To prepare in leadership means become an authenticated leader— dependable leader is what followers want to follow and trust. As a leader, you want to be trustworthy by the people you lead. From Coleman, Gulati & Segovia (2012), Joe Kennedy responded to many questions about his working relationships with employees, future trends in technology, social networking and his company’s standing, et cetera.
