1. Does the presence of ACA promote over utilization of healthcare that may result in increased health insurance premium?
2. What relavant factors have the greatest impact on health care utilization?
Problem Statement
Some of the States in the United States (US) have recently seen an increase in health insurance premiums that were not predetermined prior to becoming eligible under for the ACA. Access to healthcare has been researched in scholarly journals and found that ACA’s purpose was aim at reducing what an individual will pay to get treatment, thereby reducing the uninsured population.
Research Approach
Quantitative research are specifically suited for this research study, with testing hypotheses (Frankfort-Nachmias & Nachmias, 2008). Some related studies conducted have also examined the health insurance coverage of Americans at midlife, but neither have focused on all ages, gender, race (even though we have a couple on race) and the possession of health insurance.
